TRAVEL
Got to the hospital at 2:00am CST. Mom was waiting for me and asleep in a chair next to Jeff. I got to say my final goodbye. I cried. Mom cried.
Morning
Hotel
By the time I'd showered and turned out the light at the hotel, it was 3:30am. I was so wired that I was still awake at 4:10. Then I seemed to fall asleep...only to be awakened around 5 or so by a call from our office in Pakistan - they were having some system problems and called to get help. I was so groggy, I could not remember what he said within seconds after he said it. I figured it and said, "should I call someone else?" Yes!
Morning
Hotel
It takes me a bit to get back to sleep. Shortly after...FIRE ALARM! We evacuate the hotel. I run into my brother David and sister Mary and her husband and we have a good laugh at the five fire trucks that have shown up for a smoke detector that went off in the kitchen. Back to bed...
Morning
Hotel
...only to be woken up again at 7:00am by some phone or iPad or some other alarm in my room. I'm up and staying up. It's going to be a long day
Afternoon Run
Loosen up
:20
Back at the hotel after taking care of many arrangements. Got in a 20 minute run. For having no sleep I feel pretty good. I have not had time to grieve.
