Yay! Big winter storm on the way! ...So it looks like the Stinchfield Loppet is on! 10 a.m. start, this Sunday, at the Professional Building Parking Lot just west of N. Territorial & Dexter-Pinckney a couple miles S of Pinckney. I'll keep ya posted on any changes. Last year 30 folks showed up for casual but challenging ski fun. If ya haven't skied Stinch, you should. It has big hills with straight runouts. It's grand scenery for SE MI. ...For ANYWHERE, actually. We go for 2 hours or so with a picnic stop or two. It's not a race but you can hammer the hills if ya like. Then we regroup. Sweaty fun for all. Skills required due to bigness of hills, but it's not technical. No fees...cheap gas cost for SE locals... AND THAT'S NOT ALL! ...A FUN PARKING LOT POTLUCK APRES PARTY!

It was a perfect day at Stinchfield, followed by a great parking lot apres' party.
Didja know there are 3 winding half-mile steep climbs at Stinch? And big vista views?
