The distance season is officially underway. I am satisfied with the effort Kris and Lars gave even though neither were fresh enough for a good result. When it came time to push they both pushed hard and fought to the finish.

When Kris called this morning (afternoon in Norway) he said that, upon reflection, yesterday’s race sucked. He went over there to kick ass, not to get 20th place in Norway Cup races.

Today’s Norway Cup skate race was Kris’s first real race of the year. He finished 20th, a little over a minute out of the lead. It certainly wasn’t a mind-blowing effort - in his first race last year he was 18th in a World Cup.
