Don't get hung up on numbers listed on skis. Most modern skis have ranges in which they will work well. They are not missile parts. Good pairs may differ slightly in any number of parameters and still feel and perform great.

Our old snow in Bend, Oregon, is extremely abrasive and the S30 as a base layer helps preserve the wax, protect the base and enhance the glide. Pretty good stuff and it will not break the wax budget.
