The U.S. Ski Team’s Kikkan Randall and Kris Freeman both cracked the top 30 Saturday in the second of eight stages of the fifth annual FIS Tour de Ski. Randall was 22nd in the 10k classic pursuit with Freeman 28th in the men’s 15k.

The U.S. Ski Team’s Kikkan Randall and Andy Newell lead the US as the FIS Tour de Ski got underway today. Newell skied a strong lap to take 14th, with Randall in 16th on her birthday.

As of noon Thursday, we expect to hold a race Sunday, Jan 2nd. If conditions permit, we will have a classic race on the lower trails at an estimated 10km/5km junior. If we can't set track we may opt for a 10km freestyle.
