UPDATE 26 Feb 2019: Registration for Saturday's Black Mountain Classic Race and the post race luncheon have been moved to Rippling Rapids Golf Course located at 4849 North Black River Road. The reason for the change of venue on Saturday is the large volume of snowmobile traffic that comes with the great snow totals of this season. The Bluffs could not handle both the race and the snowmobile crowds comfortably. Rippling Rapids Golf Course is closer to the Race Start and Finish and the luncheon will be spectacular as usual. Rippling Rapids is also a Lounge and so you will be able to order your favorite adult beverages apres ski. (The Sunday Freestyle Race Registration and luncheon will remain at The Bluffs Restaurant where it has always been.)

Saturday, March 2, 2019:
11th Annual Black Mountain Nordic Classic – 10:00am Start
31 km classic-only cross country ski race (Michigan cup event)

John Hardin & Marv Mendyk Memorial Tour – 10:15am Start
10 km cross country ski tour

Sunday, March 3, 2019:
3nd Annual Freestyle Race – 10am Start
12 km freestyle (skate) ski race (Michigan cup event)

Awards to top 3 age-group finishers in both races. All proceeds fund grooming efforts at Black Mountain.

Race headquarters for Saturday will be the Rippling Rapids Golf Course, 4849 North Black River Road, Cheboygan, MI, located 30 minutes south of the Mackinac Bridge. The course features incredible rolling terrain and views of Black Lake and Lake Huron. The beautiful course, specially designed shirts, unique awards, and the best post-race lunch anywhere make this event the jewel of the Michigan Cup circuit.
