What:

Our goal is to give young skiers an opportunity to cross country ski with their peers, advance their skiing skills and have FUN. Skiers of all abilities are welcome to join and learn a sport they can enjoy for a lifetime. (parents of young skiers are more than welcome too).

WHO: The club is open to young people ages 10-18 years of age.

WHEN: Weekly ski practices will be held at Huron Meadows Metropark Ski Center (8765 Hammel Rd, Brighton, MI 48116). Ski rentals are available for those skiers that do not have equipment. Trail fee is currently $5. (We’re working on discounted rates for team members.)

SKI PRACTICES: Ski practices will focus on learning and improving cross country ski skills both Classic and Skate technique. Practices will be coached by experienced members of Team Nordic Ski Racer. Practices will consist of fun drills (pylons, obstacle course, balance drills) to help learn about technique. Skiers will be grouped by age and ability level. Time will be allotted for members to ski, socialize, and enjoy the snow.

Ski Schedule:

-Wednesdays at 5:30pm on Dec 12, 19 (2018); Jan 9; Feb 6; and March 6 (2019)
-Saturdays at 9:00am on Feb 16, 23 (2019)
-Sundays at 9:00am on Dec 16 (2018); Jan 6, 20 (2019)
