Neither Tuesday's springlike sunshine, nor temperatures above the norm all month in metro Detroit, nor gloom of rain predicted tonight will keep Adam Haberkorn from his appointed rounds -- spreading artificial snow for Saturday's ski races in Brighton.
Amazingly, we stumbled upon a zillion photos that did not make it to the web after the 2011 Frosty Freestyle. Worse, a photo galleries that was online last year didn't have the correct links pointing to it!
Just before we all went to line up, the "international guest star" advertised on the race website was announced - a skier dressed as Frosty the Snowman. Great - not only could I come in dead last, I could lose to a snowman.
Strait Striders Tracy Hardin and Denny Paull, both of Cheboygan, drove down to Brighton and conquered the competition at the 1st Annual Huron Meadows Invitational (aka Krazy Klassic 12k) on Sunday, January 16.
