The race started in fast hard conditions.  As the later starters began the race it started to snow.  The conditions became extremely slow.  The conditions cleared toward the end of the race.

But while many talked about the conditions, some pulled off the course, a few pushed on:

Tobie Angerer was in 42nd at 2km, 20th and then ended up on the podium.  Teichmann was in 92nd at 2km, then 65th and ended up 5th.  Legkov moved from 45th to 6th.  Goering from 56th to 7th.

Never give up.
