USSA Announces National Coaching Conference

US Ski Team Announces 2007 National Coaches Education Conference On September 14th, 15th, and 16th.

The US Ski Team will host its biennial National Coaches Education Conference in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This event will revolve around addressing topics pertaining to training women in the sport of cross-country skiing, though several topics will pertain to both genders.

Here are the details:

Title: From Junior Racer to World Champion: Coaching Female Cross-Country Skiers

Where: Olympic Training Center, Colorado Springs, CO. All participants are invited to stay without additional charge at the OTC. Meals are included

When: 1st presentation begins: Friday Sept 14th, 2 pm Last presentation ends: Sunday Sept 16th, 2 pm

Topics: Physiology x 2, Psychology, Nutrition, Strength, Ski Selection, Training Planning, Altitude Training and Planning, and more

Cost: $325 (includes seminar, room and board)

Presenters include Swedish physiologist Hans-Christer Holmberg, Zach Weatherford (Strength Training), Susie Parker-Simons (Nutrition), Jim Stray-Gunderson (Altitude Education), and more.
