U.S. land five in top 30 at World Juniors

HINTERZARTEN, Germany (Jan. 27) – The USA had five competitors land in the top 30 in Wednesday's World Junior Championships 5K/10K Classic.

Sam Tarling (Yarmouth, ME/Darmouth Ski Team) finished 22nd, leading the way for the U.S. men.

Caitlin Patterson (Anchorage, AK/Alaska Winter Stars) topped the U.S. competitors with a 17th place finish.

The World Juniors compete again on Friday in the 10K/20K Pursuit. The Under 23 competitors will compete in the 5K/10K Classic on Thursday.
