Beginning in the spring of 2011, CXC will be offering full support to America's top junior skiers through the addition of an Elite Development Team. Those selected juniors will train side-by-side with CXC's top senior athletes throughout the year.
Last night's well-attended "Prepare for the Frosty Freestyle - Part 1: Fitness" was the first in a series of three classes designed to help skiers get ready the the Frosty Freestyle 5/15K Cross Country Ski Race.
Christine Junker and Bob Eifler will offer a pair of cross country ski clinics; classic style on 19 December and skating on 26 December. Both sessions will be 2pm to 6pm Sunday afternoon a few miles Northwest of Kalkaska.

The official start of the Yellowstone Ski Festival is just days away. The Rendezvous Ski Trails are groomed and in “race ski” shape. There is a diverse and exciting line-up of on-snow action and evening activities planned for Thanksgiving week.
Twenty youth cross country ski programs will get a boost this winter thanks to funding from the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation (ABSF). The Foundation recently awarded $15,000 to programs around the country targeted to youth skiers.
Light snow is falling outside and the weatherman is calling for more. There are less than seven days to go and almost all of them have a snowflake in the forecast. The Rendezvous Ski Trails were rolled this morning and we are skiing in town.
