U.S. XC Champs Postponed Again
Plagued by freezing temperatures, officials at the 2009 ConocoPhillips U.S. Cross Country Championships were forced to postpone the 5 and 10K classic races Tuesday at Anchorage's Kincaid Park.

Babikov Wins Final Tour de Ski Stage
Ivan Babikov (CAN) won the final stage of the 2008-2009 Tour de Ski. Babikov completed the 11km freestyle event in a time of 33:51.2, 1.5 seconds faster than German Tom Reichelt.

Jessie Smith and Tracy Hardin take Boyne Highlands Classic
Jesse Smith once again blasted around the course to win the 10km classic in 35:33 in a photo finish with mentor Milan Baic. Tracy Hardin easily took first in the women's division.

Freeman, Compton Win Titles
The U.S. Ski Team's Kris Freeman (Andover, NH) won his 11th U.S. title and Caitlin Compton (Minneapolis, MN) her third as the 2009 ConocoPhillips U.S. Cross Country Championships kicked off Monday with 10K and 5K freestyle in Anchorage.

MTU Skiers battle sub-zero temperatures at US Nationals
The Michigan Tech Nordic ski teams had three men finish in the top-100 in the 10-kilometer freestyle race at the US National Championships Monday (Jan. 5). The race, originally scheduled for Sunday, was postponed until today due to sub zero temperatures.
