Forbush Corner to host USA Triathlon Winter National Championship
Endurance athletes from across the country will gather in Northern Michigan on March 6, 2027, for the USA Triathlon Winter National Championship, hosted at Forbush Corners in Frederic, Michigan. The event is one of the nation's premier winter multisport competitions, combining trail running, fat biking, and cross-country skiing into a single challenge.

No Women Named to US Ski Team "A Team"
The U.S. Ski & Snowboard announced the 21 athletes who will be on the 2026-27 Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team. A big surprise - for me anyways - was that not one women was named to the A Team.

Nov 4, 2026 — Sault Ste Marie, ON Good Afternoon, We will be selling season passes in person as a pop up shop at Feeding Your Soul Cafe, Thursday, November 5th, from 11 to 2. Come see us there! We will also be open at the office Sunday, November 15th, from 10-4. Sunday only! Office will open Monday, November 23rd. Seasonal hours until the snow flies and trails start accumulating snow. -

Oct 17, 2026 — Milford, MI For the past couple of months, the bike path has been filled with runners training for the Free Press Marathon every Saturday morning starting at 7:00am. They were missing this morning - the Marathon is tomorrow! That greatly reduced the number of people we passed while rollerskiing this morning. It was around 35F when we started at 7:45, but the sun was out and it warmed up to more comfortable temperature after 45 minutes. The trail was dry and pretty much free of leaves and acorns, although leaves were falling as we rollerskied. It was a perfect day for Cyril, Zbigy, Tony and I to be out! That's Cyril in the photo...
