Latest update on the upcoming Muffin Race

Greetings, coaches and supporters of junior skiing in Michigan!

We are looking forward to the 33rd Annual Muffin Race this Sunday, February 22nd at Cross Country Ski Headquarters. This year’s Muffin race is a Team Sprint Freestyle Relay, the same as we’ve done in the past few years: 2 skiers per team, each skiing 3 laps (6 laps per team). Laps will be around ~2km. Our base is strong, and we still have a lot of snow. After the warm up this week, it looks like we will possibly get some more snow later this week, so count on solid, fast conditions. The cost is $20 per 2-person team. Awards will be given to top three teams in each division (Male, Female, and Co-Ed), and as always, awards for best costumes!

The online registration link can be found here. There will also be day-of registration starting at 9:30. The race starts at 10:30.

“Mini Muffin” freestyle races (ages 12 and under) will start afterwards, around 11:30. Mini Muffin races are free of charge, and we will do “starting line” registration (there is no formal or pre-registration for the Mini Muffin races). Then lunch and awards afterwards for ALL racers! All Mini Muffin racers receive a medal.
