The 2025-2026 Michigan Cup season was special - it was the first season in recent memory where not a single race was cancelled because of weather or snow conditions! 536 skiers raced in the Michigan Cup, 49 more than last season.
It was the Cross Country Ski Headquarters who took the overall win, boasting great finishes and skiers who raced lots of races. Grand Rapids Nordic was second, just beating out Team NordicSkiRacer.

After leading the most of the season, Beckham Haberkorn dropped in the rankings because he only did three races. Vasa Raptors were there to take advantage of the absence, with Solomon DeBuryn narrowly beating Liam Wierzba by a point, and Bod Dykstra in third.
The girls competition was fierce. Lindsay Smith won overall with 4 wins and 999 points, but four skiers "tied" for second place with 994 points!
A complicated formula that takes into account the number of wins and who beat who in head-to-head racing was used to determine final placing. This was complicated by the fact that the four racers never raced together in the same race. The placement is:
Jorden Wakeley won 4 of 6 races and finished the other two in second place, taking the overall Michigan Cup title. Ryan Harris and Michael Davis were just behind, taking second and third.
Not only did Rebecca Davis win 6 races, she was never off the podium across 12 races. Ellie Callison had a great season. Although she never won a race, she was second in 4 races and third in two, giving her enough points to take second overall. Deanna Spencer skied 14 races, finishing second in two, and taking third in one - enough for third overall.
