“We’re excited to create this once in a lifetime opportunity for skiers of all levels to experience and purchase the same equipment that world-class Nordic athletes are winning on this very season,” said Peter Ashley, vice president, Nordic Division, Fischer Skis U.S.A. “We’re convinced that once skiers try Carbonlite skis, boots and poles, they will not only understand why more World Cup athletes choose Fischer products than all the other brands combined – but also be inspired to adopt the gear the pros choose.”
Demo centers feature a wide selection of RCS Carbonlite skis, boots and poles. The RCS Carbonlite Hole Ski sports Fischer’s revolutionary hole in the tip, designed to reduce energy loss and power exertion and enable higher stride frequencies and speeds.
“Getting new skis from my ski sponsor, Fischer, is exciting because they are always so good, and my RCS Carbonlite Hole Skis are just amazing,” said Kikkan Randall, U.S. Ski Team member and 2009 World Championship Silver Medalist. “The Hole Ski’s unique design allows the ski to be light and responsive and includes all of Fischer’s advanced ski technologies that give me a competitive edge in World Cup racing.”
The new RCS Carbonlite Skating boots feature Fischer’s innovative World Cup Carbon Crosslink and World Cup Carbon Cuff to deliver optimum power transfer. The boots’ Torsion Control System and Frame Technology ensure a perfect fit.
“Lasting comfort is what makes Fischer’s new boot so awesome for both racers who wear them every day and recreational skiers who want to maximize the enjoyment of their experience,” added Chandra Crawford, Canadian National Team member and 2006 Olympic Champion. “Also impressive are the boots’ customizable canting angles and an effective — yet small — buckle for the foot.”
