We now have 8026 skiers registered for the 2011 American Birkebeiner and Kortelopet and we have closed Wave 4. This means that there are now less than 400 positions remaining in these events.

8th March 1912...we have just received word from our London offices that ...apparently this bulletin was published exclusively in London's Daily Chronicle newspaper, by special arrangement with Captain Amundsen himself...thus far, there has been no news.

It was fun to ski today. I felt strong and the public here cheers us to a top performance. For sure I am happy with my second victory after Düsseldorf in this season

This helps my confidence a little bit, period. It was tough over in Europe. I felt really good before I left but the skiing was not as fast as I'm used to. I just didn’t feel as strong as normal

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment announced that Muncie Lake Pathway (13 miles southeast of Traverse City) and Cadillac Pathway (5 miles northeast of Cadillac) will be groomed for cross-country skiing thanks to local public support.
