Salomon athletes, Holly Brooks, Kikkan Randall and Jessie Diggins, made history Sunday as part of the four member U.S. relay squad that scored the countries first ever World Cup Distance Relay podium.
On a historic day for U.S. XC skiing, U.S. Ski Team Athletes Holly Brooks, Kikkan Randall, Liz Stephen, and Jessie Diggins win 3rd in the women's 4x5km World Cup in Gallivare, SWE.
The U.S. Cross Country Ski Team scored an historic first ever podium finishing third in the 4x5k relay in Gaellivare.
Defending sprint champion Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) scored her first non-sprint podium, finishing third in the 10k freestyle race. Holly Brooks (Anchorage) had a career best fifth.

Norway's Petter Northug took first in Friday’s 15 k skate race in Beitostolen, Norway, finishing ahead of France's Maurice Manificat by 15 seconds. The race was a warm up for the first World Cup race scheduled for November 24-25 in Gällivare, Sweden.

The first XC ski race of the winter in North America was held under beautiful sunny skies and a firm but compliant trail. Racers could be seen in shorts and t-shirts as they skied the Ski Fest course.
