Morgan Smyth , alongside teammate Liz Stephen, took her second U.S. title in as many days as the duo finished first in the team sprint at the 2009 U.S. Cross Country Championships in Fairbanks Wednesday night. Chris Cook and Torin Koos won the men's.

I had a late start so I could watch the other girls leave the start gate and I was getting both nervous and anxious to get my race going. A few last thoughts popped into my mind; "do I have enough kick;" "did I warm up enough."
