The U.S. Ski Team's Billy Demong marked another day of success in Ramsau, finishing second in a World Cup nordic combined event Sunday. Demong won Saturday's competition and has moved up into third place in the World Cup standings.

Blizzard conditions created challenging shooting conditions at Mt Itasca for NorAm # 2 on Sunday. The high winds and snow made shooting very difficult and the ski tracks slow. Nevertheless, the results were surprisingly tight.

Tour de Ski starts in 8 days

The snow situation in Oberhof is excellent and the weather forecast predicts more snow and cold weather. The Tour will kick off on 27th December with a prologue followed by a handicap start race on 28th December.

A Michigan Cup scoring proposal

I propose we trial a Michigan Cup scoring system that is the same as what's currently used at any xc running meets. This system, long term, might replace the current scoring used for the Brumbaugh Cup. We'll see what feedback we get at the end of the year
