LATEST TRAIL CONDITIONS

SUN, MAR 29

Forbush Corner: We will be open at 9 tomorrow, shop closing at noon. We will leave the side gate on Roberts rd open for those wanting to ski. We will not be grooming due to the warmup and rain in the forecast for the week.
Watching the weather, and if conditions are favorable we will continue operations this coming Saturday and Sunday. So, if you want to ski this week, we ask that you leave a $10 trail fee in the slot in the wall near the east front entrance.

Nubs Nob: Excellent base depth and grooming. The snow was already pretty sticky by 11:00am with the warm temps and sun. Possible snow later this week means there is still a chance of nice ski conditions right up until closing day on April 5th. If you can hit the freeze-thaw just right it’s awesome out there.

SAT, MAR 28

Vasa Trail: The conditions were fast with control today. Get out there tomorrow before it the warming temps. the nipple and Jack Pine is not groomed, but was very skiable.

Vasa Trail

Forbush Corner: Over 90 skiers came out today to enjoy beautiful weather and great spring skiing conditions. We are going to keep up the momentum by grooming east side trails with the Piston Bully and freshening up the west side skate deck with the Tidd Tech tomorrow leaving existing classic tracks alone. Open 9 to 5.

Stokely Creek: Big groomer went out this morning to get the trails in good shape for the day. The snow has been falling so there’s so light snow on the fresh tracks. Office is open till 4 today!

Hickory Hills: Best of the season skating conditions at Hickory Hills this morning. Both the hillside and meadow have been PistenBully groomed. Get there before it warms up. No classic tracks as I assume the deck is getting thin in some places, but coverage on the hillside is 100%.

FRI, MAR 27

Forbush Corner: We will be out grooming again tomorrow morning. Results have been springlike, fast solid skate deck early that softens with traffic and warming temperatures, and classic tracks that are fast early and variable in depth. Coverage is still 100%. Open at 9. Gates close at 5.

Forbush Corner: Great day of classic and skate skiing today. Classic tracks were shallow but still very skiable. Skate lane hard and fast. All east side trails and pines loop all groomed. Nice job groomers.
Thanks for a great day everyone at Forbush!!

Nubs Nob: If there is a Holy Grail for skate and classic Nordic Skiing , it is at Nubs Nob today !

Hiawatha Highlands: Happy Sunny Friday Morning!! It's a gorgeous morning up here....albeit a little more chilly, temp currently at -16 C. However, it's going to be a splendous day up here!

The groomer is currently on the trails -- the 2k Lighted was completed, Piston Bully groomed, for both classic and skate. He is currently on the 4k Pinder (no loops will be groomed today, still in good shape). The Crystal system will be done after that. We will update if the Red Pine system will be done.

Come on everybody, grab your gear, and take in this beautiful sunny day!!

Reminder: Come up tomorrow (Saturday) from 12-4 p.m. for our Customer Appreciation BBQ.....enjoy a hotdog (or two), and enjoy a lovely social afternoon :)
