Forty-minutes before the race start time, the temperature on the on the Northbound Outfitter/Cross Country Ski Shop sign showed -26F! This was certainly going to be one of the colder, if not the coldest, race start in the Michigan Cup Series.

Ken Dawson, Michigan Cup Points Keeper, has released the standings after the Lakes of the North Freestyle and Forbush Time Trial. These will change - radically - since the standings will reflect everyone's top five races.

Long time Michigan Cup skier Michael Seaman was killed after being hit by a car while biking Tuesday night. Alcohol is believed to be a factor with the driver according to state police. Seaman was 53.
