Freeman and Mannix take Marathon Victories at Nationals

Tazlina Mannix and Kris Freeman topped the standings at the end of the Freestyle marathon at today's TAMC US National Cross Country Championships.

Mannix won the 30km freestyle in 1:20:03.7 - just 1.3 seconds ahead of US Ski Team teammate Elizabeth Stephen. Brittany Webster of NTDC-Thunder Bay was third in 1:20:33.1.

Kris Freeman took the 50km freestyle championship in 2:01:01.6. Alex Harvey was second in 2:01:22.6, with CXC Team member Garrott Kuzzy third in 2:04:13.6.

Skies were sunny with granular snow conditions. The snow temperature for the women was -3C, with an air temperature of -1C. The snow and air warmed up to -2.2C and 7C for the men's race.
