The five members of the U.S. Olympic Nordic Combined Ski Team were on hand Thursday to help break ground on a new project at Soldier Hollow, three new multi purpose buildings for the Olympic venue.

The DNR agreed to groom Muncie if we could raise the funds needed to cover their equipment & labor costs, which is $175/groom for 5 hours. So far, $690 has been donated towards the project

The Traverse City Commission is having a study session on Monday February 8. to discuss current plans to rebuild 8th Street between Garfield and Barlow. The current plan as designed does not accommodate safe provisions for bicycles.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment today announced that due to a tremendous amount of private contributions and donations, the Algonquin, Anderson Lake, Canada Lakes, Pine Baron, and Wildwood Hills pathways will be groomed for xc skiing.

The Michaywé Board of Directors voted at their special meeting on Tuesday December 22, 2009 to re-open the cross country ski trails as soon as possible. The staff began grooming the ski trails on Wednesday morning.
