You and your friends & families are officially invited to participate along with Cross Country Ski Headquarters and the Great Lakes Nordic Ski Council in the DTE ENERGY Cherry Royale Parade on Saturday, July 9 2005.
The mission is to promote awareness of Cross Country Skiing by Nordic Ski Walking and Cat Skiing in the Cherry Festival’s Cherry Royal Parade. Nordic Ski Walking Poles and Cat Skis will be provided. Unless you are carrying a banner or playing an instrument (the theme song is: When The Saints go Marching In) you must either Nordic Ski Walk or Cat Ski !
There will be sandwiches, refreshments, Nordic Ski Walking and Cat Skiing Demos after the Parade at the WEST END BEACH (west of the beach volleyball courts) after the parade.
