Sprinter to advise German team

Sat, Jun  20, 2009 - By FIS

Olympic Champion Tor Arne Hetland (NOR), who retired this spring due to knee problems, will support the German sprinters Josef Wenzl and Daniel Heun in the upcoming season, working closely with Team Captain Jochen Behle.

"With Josef Wenzl we have just one sprinter on a top level (World Cup). We were therefore searching a solution which makes sense from the training point of view as well from the perspective of organization," explained DSV Sports Director Thomas Pfüller.

Tor Arne Hetland will not be an official staff member of the German Ski Federation but will work as an external advisor.
