Rain Holds Off for 2nd Duathlon

Sun, Oct  23, 2005 - By Mike Muha

The dire predictions of rain all weekend came to naught as the second race of this season's Team Duathlon series took place under glorious sunny skies.

The sun made the air feel warmer than the cool temperatures would indicate as acers began the 5km run on the mountain bike trails of Island Lake State Recreation Area near Brighton. Steve Kuhl and Tim Feldkamp (winner of the last race) took the lead from the start. Steve slowly pulled away from Tim, but the two NordicSkiRacers finished one-two by the time the race finished.

Tim and Greg Worrel both took time off their previous race.

Pictures from the event are here (thumbnails are at the bottom of this article).

The next 5 km run, 5km rollerski Duathlon of this series will be held on Sunday, November  13 at 10:00am at Island Lake Recreation Area near Brighton. See the calendar for additional information. All invited!
