We should have good conditions for the Black Mountain Nordic Classic on Saturday. We did get a small amount of rain on Tuesday but not enough to wipe out much snow. We are supposed to get a small amount of snow tonight then possible snow or a rain/snow mixture on Friday. I have discussed various grooming strategies with the DNR and the plan is to groom the usual approximately 8 foot path but to eliminate one of the two classic set tracks. This will allow for better control on the downhills and corners while still providing plenty of room for passing. There are some very fun downhills in the course but very few intricate corners and no high speed cornering. We are looking forward to a great race!
