US Ski Team Announces J1 and World Junior/U23 Trip Details

The 2008 World Junior / U23 and J1 Scandinavian Championship coaching squads have been selected. These trips again received a notable number of well-qualified coaching applicants, indicating a high level of enthusiasm for the development of US skiing. From the perspective of the US Ski Team, these trips are an integral component of the coaching development pipeline, and exist as a pivotal education piece for all elite-level coaches. Listed below are the current available details for each trip.

World Junior / U23 World Championships

Location: Wisla, Poland
Airport: Krakow, Poland (130km from Wisla)
Dates: January 25th-February 11th, 2008 (approximate pre-camp arrival date)

Cost: This trip is paid for by the athletes, but is subsidized by NCCSEF. Each athlete will receive a $300 NCCSEF grant. A rough estimate of total cost is $2,200.


J1 Scandinavian Championships
Location: Otepaa, Estonia
Dates: January 23rd-February 5th
