Williston, VT - Following the acquisition of the Rossignol Group by Quiksilver, Inc. in the spring of 2005 and the decision to create a new Mountain Center in Park City, Utah beginning in June 2006, the Vermont operations of both Rossignol and Dynastar will close in June 2006.
This move will bring changes in the work force of both organizations. Nordic Team Rossignol Director, Jim Fredericks, has decided to stay in Vermont and to re-orient his career. After 20 years coordinating the Rossignol Nordic Team, Jim’s last day with Rossignol will be May 31, 2006. Jim has been in the field, in contact with people and has created the great Team Rossignol with a total of 383 podiums in North America during the 04-05 season alone.
THANK YOU JIM for these great years of sharing your Nordic passion. We wish you all the best for the future and we are certain we will meet again very often on the Nordic ski trail.
Rossignol Nordic will proceed with its strong racing program – supporting all teams is our primary goal. We will continue supporting US Ski Team racers, Team Rossignol’s Marathon team and college teams. The Rossignol USA Nordic racing program will now be under the responsibility of Geoff Hurwitch (Race and Nordic Product Manager) and Robert Lazzaroni (Nordic Division Manager USA and International Nordic Boot Product Manager). This team will also be assisted by our Nordic technical representatives in specific geographical areas of the country.
