Sat, Jan 3: Stokely Creek (Goulais River)

Suomi trail was super downhill run today! Your at the base of the western edge of Robertson Cliffs and drop down in three steps with three easy turns at the end of each step. Circle back to Lodge via Bunny Hill to the Roth trail. Dont miss the ice waterfall on your right halfway down the Bunny Hill. Also second hand heard Hakon Lien was great today. I'll ski that tomorrow on the way to Norms.

Fri, Jan 2: Stokely Creek (Goulais River)

Fresh groom on the Mcguffin loop with on and off lake effect squalls. The Mcguffin loop is fabulous for skating with twisty turns and constantly undulating terrain with much of it nestled in conifers. Very different from the large scale trails in much of the rest of Stokely.

Fri, Jan 2: Hiawatha Highlands (Sault Ste. Marie)

Happy Friday Snow Lovers.....and that's what we've been getting!! It's a total winter wonderland up here this morning :)

The groomer is out this morning making things look beautiful -- all systems have been Piston Bully groomed for both classic and skate. The Pinder system is the most recently groomed, followed by the Crystal system and then the Red Pine system, albeit snow has fallen since, and is still coming down.

We hope everyone has a great second day of the New Year....be careful if you're venturing out :)

Reminder: The SFN Jackrabbit program is tomorrow morning from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

Wed, Dec 31: Hiawatha Highlands (Sault Ste. Marie)

Happy New Year's Eve!! It's a beautiful morning up here....a little snow fell this morning -- it's looking like a winter wonderland :)

The groomers were out early this morning, everything's looking fantastic -- The Pinder system (minus the White Pine and the Sugar Bush as they were good from yesterday), the Red Pine system and the Crystal system (minus the Hiawatha loop) were Piston Bully groomed for both classic and skate.

Don't forget to come on up and ski by lantern light this evening, starting at 6 p.m. -- the Pinder 4k will be lit for a beautiful evening ski.

Happy New Year's Eve.....and we can't wait to see everybody in the New Year :)

Tue, Dec 30: Stokely Creek (Goulais River)

Stokely made big strides at getting much of the system opened up today. Sayer Creek and bottom half of King Mt Run were done for the first time. Tracks were pristine, but poling a but soft as to be expected first time through deep snow. Will get better quick with each pass of the groomer. Bobcat tracks on Soumi.

Tue, Dec 30: Hiawatha Highlands (Sault Ste. Marie)

Good Tuesday Morning!! We hope everybody faired well after that storm. It's a sunny morning, albeit still a bit windy.

The groomer was out early this morning -- the entire Pinder system and the 2k Lighted have been Piston Bully groomed for both classic and skate.

They are heading out this morning to roll pack the Crystal and the Red Pine systems.

Have a great New Year's Eve Eve!!
